Foam recycling is not a single foam compacting process. Rigid plastics such as PP, PE, HDPE plastics or compacted blocks produced during recycling of EPS are more suitable for foam crushers, followed by plastic washing line for granulation. This combination has better treatment effect and higher recycling efficiency.

Why do you need a plastic shredder?

Shredders are the first step in subsequent processing where rigid plastics are shredded so that the next processing steps (e.g. washing or pelletizing) can be carried out more efficiently.

After the rigid plastic is shredded, the volume is greatly reduced, which can reduce the cost of transportation and storage, and the reduction of cost will increase the subsequent sales revenue.

For materials with a density of 100-300, it is suitable for materials that cannot be shredded by conventional shredder. For example: film, hard and brittle material, hot frit (large EPE hot frit will not work, because of its toughness, EPS hot frit can)

The shredder is divided into single shaft and double shaft. The material coming out of the shredder is relatively large. After shredding, the size of the material is controllable and can be directly washed or granulated.

Metal-containing products can use a double-shaft shredder: refrigerators, washing machines, scrapped motorcycles, paint buckets, etc.

Does the foam crusher have to be used with the washing line?

Washing lines are not mandatory for foam crushers, but their combination can create greater benefits. Of course, if you just want to simply crush and process materials and then sell them, you don’t have to choose the washing line.
